      1/19 Angel Island WWC#69, breakfast pastry in Tiburon, ferry ride, foggy, asphalt Perimeter Road, multiple sightings of blonde bulldozer-driving ranger

      1/19 China Camp State Park WWC#70, clockwise, Nike site, BM Oak Tree Corner 1019, no microwave tower or BM Hind, BM San Pedro S 1058,  Turtle Back Nature Tr, finish at dusk, birthday dinner at Cento Stelle in San Rafael

      1/20 Tennessee Valley to Muir Beach WWC#71, Coastal Trail, low clouds, great lunch at Pelican Inn, return via Coast Fire Rd & Fox Tr, side trip to BM Coyote Ridge 1031, hikers, horses & bikes, 6 hrs

      1/21 Drake's Estero WWC#75, Estero Trail, morning, cows disappear when hay truck arrives, Sunset Beach, slippery & steep mud, mostly rain & fog, lunch at Inverness Deli

      1/21 Tomales Bay State Park WWC#76, Johnstone Trail, Heart's Desire Beach to Shell Beach, damp hike in nice forest, first Calif netws, return on Jepson Tr just before dark, 16-mile day

      1/22 The "Lake District" of Pt. Reyes WWC#73, Palomarin to Wildcat Camp, cloudy going in, rain coming out, 76 Calif newts, 10 banana slugs, lunch on beach, T loses cheeses, 6? hrs, look for BM 245, Alamere Falls impressive from Wildcat Camp, Bolinas visit

      1/23 Sonoma Coast State Beach WWC#79, Blind Beach to Wright's Beach overlook, now Kortum Trail, swampy & soggy, BM Peaked Hill 376, impressive surf & rocks, T hitchhikes back & picks up wet J, lunch at Ft Ross Deli

      1/23 Fort Ross State Historic Park WWC#80, nice visitor center & fort, hike to cemetery with Russian-Orthodox crosses (IHUH), various loops on return, big antenna, deer, foggy, camp at Sonoma Cty Stillwater Cove CG - better than Salt Point SP, view of Ft Ross Reef

      1/24 Gualala Point Regional Park WWC#83, walk to end of spit at river mouth - seagulls & seals scatter, driftwood forts, impressive cliffs, surf & rocks; Sea Ranch, T trespasses to find BM Ohlson 74 under cypress tree, also take road to CG and river trail, chat with volunteer at visitor center, burgers at The Gualala Hotel, drive to Ft Bragg

       1/25  Jughandle State Reserve WWC#87, last WWC hike on the North Coast, sunny at start from Julie's place, loop around blufftops, oyster catchers, hard-to-find loop with boardwalk in pygmy forest, see llamas & emu on Gibney Ln before returning to trail Tom, Julie, Tim Loveless
