8/22&26/2014 Tumble Lake hike 4 miles 1000 feet near Detroit Lake; Diamond Peak hike 10 miles 3600 feet with Alison and we met a youth trail crew. Slideshow

7/31/2014 Belknap and Little Belknap Craters hike 8 miles 1600 feet near McKenzie Pass plus a bonus hike to Proxy Falls 2 miles 100 feet with Alison; Met 5 PCTers (started in Mexico 4 months ago) and a Trail Angel giving them ice cream and treats. Slideshow

7/18&19/2014 PT and Bridgette come to town and dinner at our house with Katie; 12 mile fun raft trip down the Deschutes River near Maulpin with Avani, Anav, Seema, Misha, Pranav, Melvika, Swapna and Ramesh. Slideshow

7/11-13/2014 Woodpecker Ridge hike 5 miles 700 feet right next to Mt Jefferson; Aaron, Addy and Elizabeth spend a day in Salem while Mom and Dad paint their bedroom; Laura's 29th birthday (base 28) with Katie. Slideshow

6/27&7/3-6/2014 Scott Mtn 6 miles 1300 feet near McKensie Pass with a lot of rain and deep snow on top; 31st Annual Backpack hiking the high point of Utah 13,528 feet Kings Peak with Tim and John. Slideshow

      5: early start, Anderson Pass, 1st group to peak 13,528', see 25+ on
      descent, ranger chat, past Dollar L to good camp W of trail
      6: hike out, busy Crazy Ate for Kings Peak burgers, make $27 res at
      VirginRiv, rainy drive, 45m delay thru gorge, big storm in Mesquite,
      stats - 31mi, 5100' total gain
