09/26&10/10&16/2015 Three Fingered Jack climb 3000 feet 12 miles in the clouds with the Santiam Alpine Club Nathan F, Greg, Adrian, Mitchell, Michael, Lorraine, Nathan J, Steven, Andy, Harvest, Ryan and Jonathan using two fixed ropes and one belay rope, repelled down a couple cliff faces for the first time in years; Mt Hood Timberline trail from the lodge to Umbrella and Sahale Falls 7 miles 1000 feet; Bull of the Woods Lookout 10 miles 2000 feet. 08/21&22&09/7-11/2015 Latourell Falls hike in the Gorge 3 miles 500 feet; PT and Bridgette visit; 15th Annual Sierra Hike in the Emigrant Wilderness north of Yosemite with Sharon, Leslie, Beth, Carol, Ed, Gary, Jeff, Larry, Terry, Jock, John, Ralph, Jim and Ziv; Totaled my Subaru on the way home from the backpack on US97 12 miles north of Chiloquin, OR; Fiddling with the radio hit the soft shoulder (unfortunately no rumble strip) at 65 mph in the pitch black, tried to bring it back on the highway, began to fishtail then rolled twice down the embankment, busted most of the windows and filled the car with gravel, threw a lot of my things out, car ended up right side up, unclicked my seatbelt and not a scratch on me. Very thankful and lucky to be alive. Slideshow
