Mt Hood Meadows last day skiing for this season. Tom's ninth time on the slopes this season; babysitting Aaron, Addy and Elizabeth in Portland; new walking bridge in Riverfront Park in Salem; North Fork John Day River Trip from Dale to Monument, Oregon with Jaynee, Janet, Tim S, Tim R, Rick, Alan. This was Laura's first raft trip in 40 years. Our armada consisted of 2 catarafts, a hard shell kayak, an IK and an open canoe. Tim and Tom spent a lot of time in the river with the canoe after going thru the rapids and filling up with water. Slideshow

4/17&4/21-23/2017 Abiqua Falls and Butte Creek Falls hike 3 miles 500 feet near Scotts Mill; Prairie Mt hike with John and Tim 5 miles 1000 feet near Alsea; Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge near Salem hike 3 miles 500 feet; Cheese Soufflé dinner and Crates card game with the gang; Macleay Park and Pittock Mansion hike 2 miles 500 feet in NW Portland with Aaron, Addy, Elizabeth, Julie and Tim L, John and Tim S. 3/30&4/8/2017 RoadsEnd hike 5 miles 1000 feet with Alison; Destination Imagination State Tournament with Elizabeth's team winning state title for 5th grade from Markham School; sleepover at our house with Aaron, Addy, Elizabeth, Julie and Tim. Slideshow

3/2-17/2017 Winter volleyball team; quick visit to Liam and Colin in Chicago on Tom's way to Austria; skiing 6 days in the Austrian and Swiss Alps in four different ski areas: Ischgl, San Anton, Serfhaus and Lech with Tom, Chris, Mike, Wally, Andrew, Gardiner and Ilena; stayed in 4 star Hotel Weiss Lamm in See, Austria with 5 course dinners every night; 3 feet of snow that week but sun all but one day; took trains to Ohringen to visit Peter and Irene; Kloster Schontal where Peter gave a talk on his Indian Hospital Program; Peter and Irene's house; took a ride on Peter's electric bike to Ohrnberg looping back to downtown Ohringen; visited Schwabisch Hall and the Water Clouds Wind Art Collection.
