5/21&24&6/1-9/2018 Stonefield Beach to Nancy Creek hike 6 miles 100 feet on the coast; Pamelia Lake and Grizzly Peak hike 8 miles 2600 feet with a lot of snow on the top in the rain; visit the grand kids Colin and Liam in Chicago with Olivia and Matt, go bowling, play miniature golf, go to Lincoln Park zoo, go to playgrounds, projects around the house, party with Olivia's family Francesca, Lucas, BJ, Jen, Inye, Belinda and Henry, Kelsey joins us for three days, BBQ with Matt's new Weber gas grill. 5/11&15/2018 Buck Mt hike 5 miles 1000 feet mostly in the snow; Laura gets a new car 2018 Honda Accord LX Hybrid 47 mpg highway and city; sold our old 2005 Honda Accord LX using our SAIFList at work (like Craigslist) in less than a day; finally got our steps redone which was supposed to be done last year; testing out a bicycle built for two. 4/14-24&27-28/2018 10 day visit in New York; dinner at first Airbnb near Kelsey's place; a lot of subway rides all around New York; train trip up the Hudson to visit Eddie and Jeanne at their house in Briar Cliff Manor with a visit from Kirby, Johanna, Maeve, Blaire and Sloane; Tenement Museum in lower Manhatten; visit and dinner with Sam; coffee with Chris and Kelsey; 911 Memorial Museum with a George Strauch on the memorial photos and a trip thru the Oculus; dinner and night at the Met Opera Cosi fan tutti (Kelsey got us 6th row seats) with Kirby, Bruce (Kirby's twin) and Gail; walk across Williamsburg's bridge near our second Airbnb; one woman show Nanette with Hannah Gadsby (comedian) at SoHo Playhouse; Brooklyn Botanic Gardens with Kelsey and then party near by at Susan's place; excellent performance of a Leonard Bernstein Celebration at SubCulture GarherNYC event with Amy Owens (soprano), Michael Barrett (piano) and Drew Prochaska (story teller); Colin playing the piano in Washington Square Park; Acroyoga in Central Park's Sheep Meadows; Polobalus umbrella and light show at the Natural History Museum; outside one of Kelsey's gigs near Williamsburg's bridge; bike ride from Brooklyn all over Manhatten including Battery Park, 131 Riverside Dr (where Joel used to live) and Central Park; Kelsey's room and patio in Brooklyn; back in Oregon with Aaron's Little League game; Green Peak hike 1700 feet 5 miles near Corvallis with John and Paul; Forest Park hike 500 feet 4 miles with Addy, Julie and John; Cheese Soufflé dinner at our house with Aaron, Addy, Liz, Julie, Tim and John.
