9/2-7/2019 19th Annual Sierra Backpack/Mule Trip in Big Pine Lakes area with Alysha, Sharon, Leslie, Carol, Beth, Gary, Ralph, Ed, John, Mike, Joel, Jim, Mark, Art, Ziv; Stop by in Reno on the way to see Kelsey coming out of a week at the Burning Man and visiting Sarah (Kelsey's high school friend), Ben and Ryder (2 year old); hit a dead dear in my Subaru at 65mph an hour from the trailhead at 11pm on US395 and now it needs a new left axle but it did get me all the way there and back home; Tuesday backpacked in with John to base camp and Beth and Ralph ride horses in with pack mules; Wednesday Terry's bump, Payne Lake, Seventh Lake. Sixth Lake and Summit Lake with Ziv, Sharon, Mark and Art; Thursday Palisade Glacier up to 12,200 with Sharon, Mark, Leslie, Art and Ziv then off trail over to Sam Mack Lake and Turquoise Lake just with Ziv in the cold rain; Friday Summit Lake, Black Lake, Movie Set, Third, Second and First Lakes with Ziv; Saturday climb Mt Robinson 12,967 alone but sheer granite blocks on top so only got to 200 feet below peak; Sunday get up early hike out at 7am, get to car at 10:20am and then get home at 10:30pm. 8/19&20&26/2019 Flying to Nehalem Bay State Park in a Cessna 172 and then a 4 mile hike down the beach with Ramesh and Lee; we lost the keys to the plane on the hike so Ramesh had to call Swapna to drive 2 1/2 hours to bring a spare key; setting up a pickle ball court at work with Ramesh, Pranav and Bill; Bachelor Mt hike 4 miles 1200 feet with Lee and Jeff. 8/8-12/2019 36th Annual Backpack at Lassen Volcanic National Park in Northern California with Aaron, Addy, Liz, Julie, Tim, Dylan, Mark, Sharon and John. Celebrate Addy's 12th birthday with cupcakes at the trailhead. 13 mile loop with afternoon side hikes to various lakes and a cinder cone. The crew ranged in age from 8 years old to 76 years old.
