2/2&9&15-21&23&28&3/2/2026 Netarts Spit hike 10.2 miles 200 feet north of Cape Lookout; Wind Mountain hike 2.6 miles 1100 feet in the gorge on the Washington side; week ski and snowshoe trip to Mammoth Lakes and Mountain east side of the Sierras in California with Susan and Dick; we got 5 feet of snow over 4 days with at least over a foot a day of powder snow and temps dropped below zero, a fun time in the snow; Cape Meares hike 3.3 miles 800 feet with a stop at Tillamook Cheese Factory; Tom's retirement party at Ramesh's and Swapna made delicious Indian chicken curry and other Indian treats with the old SAIF gang Tula, Lee, Mary, Jeff, Jolene and Mike; Munra Point hike 5.1 miles 2100 feet steep unmaintained trail in the gorge but a cool hike. 1/5&10&11&12&17&18&26/2026 Triple Falls 3.9 miles 900 feet in Oneonta Gorge off the the main gorge; flight with Ramesh in Cessna 172 Skyhawk; Aaron's piano recital (video) at St Luke's church in Portland and then dinner out with Julie, Tim and Ellin; Two Rivers hike 3.2 miles 400 feet on the coast; Tom's 74th birthday with a requested pot roast dinner; annual skiing and snowboarding at Hoodoo with the Loveless and Kerns gang, Aaron, Addy, Liz, Julie, Tim, Melissa, Jack and John; Starvation Creek, Cabin Creek, Hole-in-the-Wall and Lancaster Falls loop 3 miles 800 feet in the gorge near Hood River.
